the first XR motion Conference
As part of XR Motion’s effort to provide a community and culture for the multimedia designer community, In October of last year, they held their first XR Motion Conference. As Producer, I wanted to create a recognizable and different branding for the social media and in conference displays that gives the whole conference a level of professionalism that the founders were looking to achieve. We started with looking our audience and who they are, creating a workable design system that included press packets and media kits, launched hype content for the event, promotional material, contests and cross collaborations. Then I took the initiative to make in conference video content that included speakers information, schedules throughout the day, and trivia for those wanting to find a conversation starter.
Social Media
Social Media was meant to drive home the information and make it fun! I not only came up with the concepts for the social media advertising but also filmed myself in some of the videos, creating an attire that fit the brand so that everything reminded you of the conference.
In Conference Displays
A big part of my time was spent on the in conference graphics. These were meant to be displayed prominently when you first walk in and throughout the halls outside of the rooms where most of the conference events took place. These visuals were informative, engaging and were seen by all of the attendees to make this first conference held by my team highly polished and professional.
Each of these main speaker graphic cards included a short edit of the speakers reel so that attendees can digest what the speaker does before even showing up to the scheduled presentation. Making it easier for people to decide if they want to catch the speaker or focus on other workshops or tasks around the conference.
Main Speakers
Workshop Sessions were smaller presentations held in adjacent rooms that were meant for more individual engagement and more niche topics that couldn’t be covered in the main room. These workshops had overlapping times and I wanted to be able to display these overlapping times easily and accurately.
Additional Graphics
The all important agenda graphic that can keep attendees in the know of the schedule for the day. The challenge with these graphics were mostly due to last minute schedule changes but the concept was fairly easy to execute.
